Haewon is holding a degree in Geography, Forestry, and Landscape Architecture from Konkuk University, South Korea. Her academic focus is on climatology and biogeography, with a special interest in the connections between environmental factors and local cultures. As a project volunteer at CAN Tanzania, she aims to apply her expertise to support sustainable climate initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in environmental work. She is particularly passionate about the mangrove nursery projects in Unguja, Zanzibar, viewing this role as a crucial step toward her long-term goals in climate action and community-led environmental restoration.
