CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
MEDIA FOR CLIMATE ACTION SEASON 3
INVITATION AND BACKGROUND
Climate Action Network Tanzania (CAN Tanzania), in partnership with the Media Council of Tanzania (MCT) and Tanzania Media Foundation(TMF), invites journalists across Tanzania to express their interest in participating in a climate change reporting training and mentoring programme scheduled to take place in the first week of November 2026 and aimed at strengthening accurate, evidence-based, and solutions-focused coverage of climate change and environmental issues.
BENEFITS OF THE TRAINING
This 3-day training offers journalists an opportunity to strengthen their climate reporting through practical exercises, discussions with climate experts, and experience sharing with fellow journalists. Participants will gain useful knowledge and tools to explain climate issues clearly and show how they affect people’s daily lives. The session will also provide space to develop story ideas, build professional networks, and join a network of climate reporters committed to continued learning and collaboration beyond the training.
