CAN Tanzania network members convene every year to strategize, learn and plan for the year ahead on how to effectively operationalize the network and improve projects that enhance climate resilience to the community. This year the network sat for two days on 27th – 28th January 2022 at Mbezi Garden Hotel, Dar es Salaam. The session brought together 36 (10 women and 26 men) representatives from CAN Tanzania board, member organizations, friends of CAN Tanzania and facilitator from NGO Registrar office. The theme for this meeting was “Enhance Engagement for Action,” calling for cross organization collaborations and engagement in the network to promote better climate actions. The session provided an overview for the previous year’s engagements and strategic planning for the year 2022, with members being the center of the action movement. The AGM aimed at enhancing cross engagement in members intervention for climate action and development. The theme for this meeting was “Enhance Engagement for Action,” calling for cross organization collaborations and engagement in the network to promote better climate actions. The session provided an overview for the previous year’s engagements and strategic planning for the year 2022, with members being the center of the action movement. Building from the previous AGM and analysis survey conducted to network members, backstopping capacity enhancement sessions on compliance and resource mobilization was structured and delivered in this meeting. The session was beneficial not only to the project’s achievement but to members as well as the secretariat. Several outcomes were achieved and provided a road map to project implementation and strengthening of the CAN Tanzania network. These include; • Building synergies among network members and project engagements • Strengthening of the network’s communication platforms • Awareness raised on NGO compliance requirements, resource mobilization and project management • Development of network’s plan for the year 2022 and update on terms and conditions for membership for organization growth
