Climate services are the provision and use of climate data, information, and knowledge to assist decision-making in climate-sensitive sectors, such as agriculture, fisheries, and pastoralism. These services are essential because they empower individuals and communities, especially smallholders, to make informed choices, plan effectively, and adapt to the increasing risks posed by a changing climate. The documentary highlights the vulnerability of these groups to climate change, showcases where and how they can access climate services and advisory support, and demonstrates the practical use of climate information in daily livelihood planning. It also explores the vital contribution of CAN Tanzania in facilitating the production, interpretation, translation, and dissemination of downscaled, gender-responsive climate services, often in partnership with the Tanzania Meteorology Authority (TMA) and traditional forecasters who bring valuable indigenous knowledge.
