Dr. Mkama Manyama is a highly experienced environmental economist and management consultant with 15+ years of expertise, who offers a unique combination of technical skills, practical experience, and knowledge perfectly aligned with the human-environment interface. He has a proven track record of success in natural resource management, climate change adaptation, and capacity development, with a strong focus on value proposition for delivering sustainable and impactful solutions within a respective context. At CAN Tanzania, Dr. Mkama serves as the Head of Programs, who forms part of the management team and is a researcher focusing on climate change adaptation, climate finance, and ecological valuation for climate resilience. He has a vested interest in data science, especially artificial intelligence and deep learning, in the ecological valuation approach for natural resources sustainability. Dr. Mkama holds a PhD in Environmental Economics (ecological valuation and financial modeling), an MSc in Construction Economics and Management, and a BSc in Environmental Science and Management. He has attended several professional courses, notably in future thinking, knowledge co-generation, and complex systems in transition.
